The Emergency Food Box is a one-time emergency offering for low-income residents in need.

Depending on qualification, the Rental Assistance Program can help with up to 3 months of rent. Several guidelines apply for those who qualify. It is required for individuals to fill out a state of emergency relief (SER) form through the Department of Human Services (DHS), then receive a decision notice. Individuals must have proof of income to show sustainability as well as a late notice or eviction notice.

When funding is available, MCOP offers assistance with electric, natural gas and deliverable fuels such as propane in Monroe, Jackson, Lenawee, Hillsdale and Washtenaw counties. You may be eligible if you have been approved for State Emergency Relief (SER) at MDHHS and have a co-payment or have already received SER utility assistance from MDHHS. For deliverable fuels, a family's fuel tank must be at or below 25% full. Eligibility is based on household size and income level. For water assistance client's eligibility is based on household size and income level.
